Safe America To Host Nov. 8 Brain Camp & Southside Driving Academy

Driving Academy To Be Held At Delta Flight Museum On Southside, Will Feature Programs For Middle/High School Age Youth

The Safe America Foundation has been active in providing educational programs that address pressing youth health and safety for 20 years. This November 8, we've teamed-up with the Allstate Foundation, Clayton County Georgia's Public School System and Board of Commissioners Chairman Jeff Turner to host the second SafeTeen Georgia Driving Academy of 2014 as a part of our 2014 Brain Camp™ – a fun filled educational safety expo for High School and Middle School aged youth and their parents. The event will also feature a Chalk 1 Up for Safety "Chalk-Off" art competition where student groups can compete for $250 and other prizes.

Being a safety organization, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is always on the lookout for ways to cut down on the number of accidents on U.S. roads. One of its latest findings was included in a report that was released not too long ago, concluding that vehicle intercommunication could cut the number of annual car wrecks by half a million.
